This is the hose on the bottom of the vacuum that connects the agitator housing to the suction motor. It has a rubber seal on end of the hose (Included with this item) that connects to dust tray inside the roller brush housing. It is not the main hose on the back of the vacuum. It is designed for ALL DC-07, and DC-14 uprights. If your Dyson seems to have lost some power over the years, this is a very common parts that stretches too much, and will actually tear a hole in the hose.
